Weekly NerdArt Picks | 2-8-17

So, I want to try to do something a little different. I’m going to head out into the wild Internets and grab my favorite geeky images for, curating them into a semi-weekly collection. I’ll start with three categories: Sci Fi, Fantasy and Horror. I might branch out from there, but let’s start with that for now.

Science Fiction

Top Pick:

I like this one a lot. This is the kind of thing I would use as inspiration for a flash fiction piece. In fact, I just may do that.

Runner Up:

I’m definitely a fan of Blade Runner. For me, this is more a generic cyberpunk, but only because of the tech/city in the background and her “power on” amulet. Her punkish armor is interesting, too. Most impressive is the quality of the painting.

Fantasy

Top Pick:

I like this because… first: the book is pretty awesome. But for me, more importantly, the level of detail and resolution put into the full 3D render is pretty astounding.

Runner Up:

This one kind of reminds me of the classic PC game Legend of Kyrandia. Not quite sure why. However, I loved that game, so…

Horror

Top pick:

This one creeps me the hell out! Anything with worms like this is nightmare fuel in my book.

Runner Up:

This is some serious TentaCthulu/All-Mighty Sarlac shit!

Okay, so that’s it for this week. If you find something really cool or you make something really cool, post a link in the comments to let me know!
